Y’know, I keep seeing Jack Black pop up all over the place in gaming. Like, I saw him in the Mario movie, then there was a Minecraft thing, and—oh yeah—the Borderlands movie too. It’s like he’s secretly everywhere. And, speaking of, he’s back in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 remake. Not once, but twice. He’s both Officer Dick (yep, that guy again) and this Constable Richard in the London stage. Talk about double duty, huh?
Okay, so a bit about this Richard Ennvee dude—Dick, for short (his parents obviously had a sense of humor). As a kid, he was apparently this wannabe skater, and other skaters called him a poser. So, naturally, he decides he’s gonna fight back by becoming the ultimate anti-skater—law enforcement! Classic move, right? As for Constable Richard, well, he’s supposed to be just as tough and kinda ridiculous as Dick. Go figure.
For those wondering, Dick’s been hanging around in these games since forever. Like, the OG Pro Skater had him as a character you could unlock. Then he vanished for a while but popped back in Project 8 and Pro Skater HD. And then, of course, he was reimagined as Jables in Pro Skater 1 + 2. It’s a wild ride for this guy.
So, mark your calendars, or don’t, but Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 slides onto all the usual screens—Switch, PlayStations, the whole gang—on July 11. Might be worth a peek, or, you know, not… depends what spins your truck.
