Sure thing, I’ll give it a go. Here it is:

So, there’s this guy—modder, tech wizard, call him what you will—hanging out in China and stirring the pot, or the circuit board, more like. Goes by Qingchen DIY on Bilibili, and he’s whipped up a handheld gaming device that’s… well, huge. We’re talking a 12.5-inch screen blasting 4K visuals. Nothing too crazy, right? Except this beast’s got an Intel Core i9-14900HX chugging along inside. And, oh, let’s not forget the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU. Because why not?
Now, AMD’s kind of the big dog in the handheld gaming world. They’ve packed all sorts of their cutting-edge tech into little powerhouses like the Asus ROG Ally and Steam Deck OLED. But Intel’s trying to nudge into the party too. Remember MSI’s Lunar Lake handheld from last year? Yeah, neither do I, but I hear it was a thing. Anyway, this dude Qingchen DIY maybe just wanted to see what’s possible if Intel and Nvidia, the Blue and the Green if you like your corporate color metaphors, team up for once. Kind of a “what if?” scenario.
In the video on Bilibili, which is like YouTube but with even more intense comment sections, you see how this guy takes a what is it, a Tongfang chassis, whatever that means, and turns it into something handheld. Tongfang’s like a behind-the-scenes player, making stuff for big names you probably do know like PC Specialist and XMG. Behind every great brand, there’s a Tongfang, I guess?
Qingchen crammed two of the juiciest processors in there—he’s got the i9-14900HX (lots of cores, don’t ask me how many) paired with an RTX 4090 GPU with so many CUDA cores, it’s ridiculous. Sounds like a jet engine but that might just be me imagining things. MSI Titan 18 HX, Alienware m18 R4, those guys were almost cousins to this creation, but bigger and still kicking around laptops, not handhelds.
Oh, before I forget, thermals. Somehow, this contraption manages to keep its cool—like, literally, stays under 72°C while playing heavy hitters like God of War. I mean, that’s a sauna for humans but a happy place for GPUs, go figure. Full 4K on the display, small screen, but sharp as you like.
It’s got 64GB RAM, which sounds like bringing a bazooka to a knife fight if you ask me. And dual 2TB SSDs — great for storing maybe half your game library these days. Battery life though? Don’t wander too far from an outlet unless you live dangerously.
Not seeing a commercial Intel-Nvidia handheld happening right this second. Nvidia’s possibly going solo with something in 2026, from what I’ve heard on the grapevine. AMD better have a strategy, or a very good plan B.
Well, stay tuned. Or not, I don’t run your life.
