Man, so get this. Wadjet Eye Games is bringing a new thing, all wrapped in its quirky point-and-click glory, called Old Skies to Nintendo Switch. Mark your calendars. Or don’t. Up to you.
So, there’s this character, Fia Quinn, right? She’s a time cop, or agent — for something called ChronoZen. It’s her gig to babysit these seven rich folks who think it’s cool to jump back in time. Some are on a nostalgia trip, and some, well, they’ve got ghosts to tackle. Literally? Figuratively? Who knows.
It’s kinda like, you know, with past stuff at the risk of getting all jumbled up, and Fia’s there to keep things chill. What’s the worst that could happen, eh?
Now, they’ve got this list of what makes the game tick, and — honestly, it’s a bit wild.
You get to hop through seven different historical vibes. Imagine going from those jazzy speakeasies during Prohibition to… brace yourself… September 11th morning. Heavy stuff, right? And then there’s what they call “high resolution” graphics, like, three times better than some other game they did — Unavowed. Maybe you care about that kind of thing?
They’ve set up a bunch of head-scratchers for us, all revolving around bending time and all. Tempting fate, much? And don’t forget, death lurks around but, plot twist, you can reset and try different angles. Like trial and error but make it existential.
Oh, and you get this soundtrack by Thomas Regin. I loved his work in Unavowed and Blackwell, but honestly, who are all these singers? Full voice acting, they say. Sounds like quite the ensemble.
Anyway, if you’re itching to dive into this time-warping saga, digital copies land on the Nintendo eShop for Switch globally on May 27, 2025. Set a reminder! Or not.
And there’s a trailer (probably) somewhere. I was kinda scatterbrained, oops.
