Alright, so here we go. I mean, if you’re into biking downhill in a blizzard, this will be your jam.

So, there’s this update—like, a big one—for Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders. Let’s say you’re one of those adrenaline junkies already whizzing down the slopes thanks to Xbox Game Pass—yep, over a million of you are out there, apparently. Anyway, Megagon Industries, those magical folks who pull the strings, just dropped something they’re calling the Freestyle update. Honestly, it’s bananas. Think two new game modes. Not one, but two. Plus, over a hundred, yes, 100+ challenges. I mean, who does that?
Now, there’s this Trick Mode. You basically cruise down the mountain, looking all cool while flipping, spinning, and grabbing… for an epic scoreboard showdown. To snag that sweet number one spot, you gotta see things a whole new way. Might need to throw your old fastest-path scheming out the window. Is that a thing? Yup, it’s a thing now.
But wait—remember Free Ride Mode from those earlier mountain-hopping days in Downhill? Well, it’s making a comeback. The idea is: Explore wherever your adventurous heart takes you because there ain’t any checkpoints to boss you around. But be warned, buddy—every crash slaps you back to the start. A bit daunting? Probably. But hey, no guts, no glory or something like that.
And here’s where it gets even more juicy—leaderboards, new achievements. Megagon hears you, by the way. Finally, reach the ultimate player level without messing around in multiplayer—hallelujah, right?
Oh, and in an effort to make sure everyone and their grandma can join in, tons of accessibility features have been thrown into the mix. There’s this auto-brake or autowhatever thing now, so it’s one trigger gaming. It’s genius. Also, you don’t have to hold your breath—er, I mean the button—forever, ‘cause you can just toggle. Toggles everywhere. Custom buttons, mouse, keyboard—party time.
I honestly hope this gets more folks into Lonely Mountains—it’s a vibe, trust me. So start rolling those trick videos and insane speedrun montages. We’re all dying to see ‘em, including Daniel and The Megagons. Not that I know Daniel personally. Probably a cool guy though.
Oh, and there’s this store page thing where you can buy the game for like $19.99. But it was $24.99? Maybe? Anyway, sales and stuff. Hop on it. If you love snowy escapades and… cartwheeling on ice lakes in breathtaking landscapes, this is your winter playground. Whether you’re racing with buddies or just trolling down solo, set your inner daredevil loose. Why sit inside when you can be outside, even virtually, right?
Anyway, I’m rambling. Go check it out. Or not—no pressure.
