Bandai Namco’s Summer Showcase 2025 Airs This Week

Sure thing, let’s dive in. So, Bandai Namco is doing this big showcase deal, right? I mean, it’s happening sometime soon—I think they said Wednesday or something. Or was it Thursday? No, definitely Wednesday… July 2nd. Anyway, it’s one of those events where they announce a bunch of stuff, and maybe you’re into that kind of thing. Or not. Totally up to you.

So, they’re revealing some new My Hero Academia game. I know, I know, we’ve all got our thoughts on anime games. But it might be cool—who’s to say? They’re also talking about this new Code Vein II, and hey, I kind of remember the first one. It was one of those vampire, gothic-type deals. And then there’s, like, a Death Note game. Yeah, Death Note. Like, what’s more chill than writing names in a notebook and… well, I won’t spoil it in case you haven’t seen it.

But wait, there’s more! Digimon Story Time Stranger. Strange name, right? It’s like Digimon but with this twist where… I don’t know, they go to a new world or something. Sounds kind of fun, actually. Then there’s a game for Everybody’s Golf. How many golf games does a person need? But if it’s your thing, more power to you.

Little Nightmares III’s making an appearance too. Those games are creepy. Like, “mildly nightmare-inducing while still being kind of cute” creepy. I remember the first one gave me pause… but in a good way.

And just when you thought you’d seen it all—Patapon 1 + 2 Replay. Who remembers Patapon? Little rhythm warriors or something. I barely do, but it’s nice we’re getting a replay anyway. Shadow Labyrinth sounds mysterious enough to intrigue the RPG fans.

Plus, some Super Robot Wars Y. Robots fighting each other, a classic. And oh boy, Tekken 8. Tekken! That’s a name I haven’t shouted over a couch in a while. I used to play, but honestly, my skills are rusty.

The Blood of Dawnwalker and Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree round out the list. If you’re into epic-sounding titles, these are right up your alley. Anyway—wait, what was I talking about? Oh yeah, just a whole bunch of games showing up in this showcase.
