Hey, so here’s the thing — Zenless Zone Zero. Yeah, that game, you know the one. It’s been pretty wild these last few weeks. Four weeks of chaos in a good way. Released on Xbox and then boom, hit us with that 2.0 update. Felt overdue, honestly, but hey, we’re here now, aren’t we?
Now, quick pause. Anybody who’s been deep-diving into this sci-fi RPG world knows the real anniversary isn’t until July. But who’s complaining, right? New patch, fresh story arc, it’s all good.
Fast forward, and here we are — July 4th, fireworks and all. Officially the real deal, one-year anniversary for Zenless Zone Zero. HoYoverse, bless their souls, decided to hit us with another chunky patch. Dimensions are shifting, people! Well, not right now today. They just unveiled it, but July 16 is when the magic drops.
So, The Impending Crash of Waves—isn’t that a title? Feels like they stole it from some melodramatic sea adventure. We’re meeting a new faction, Spook Shack, straight out of an aquatic fever dream, they say. Two fresh areas, Sailume Bay—sounds fancy, right?—and Fantasy Resort. I get why they call it a resort, all summery vibes and all.
It’s kicking off Season 2, Chapter 2 or something. Sailume Bay is where the action’s at. Meanwhile, Fantasy Resort is the place you’d probably be sipping on a pixelated cocktail or whatever during the summer in-game events.
And then, the Agents. Ah, they’re fun! Ukinami Yuzuha—S-Rank status, no less—has a sidekick, Kama. Imagine candy bombs raining down on you—confusing, but oddly delightful. Alice Thymefield’s there too, slicing and dicing with her sword skills. Fast like lightning — Blade Etiquette and all that jazz — kind of makes you want to cheer her on.
Wait, almost forgot. When the update lands later this month, we’re getting Miss Esme, another S-Rank Bangboo. Oh, and if you missed Void Hunter Miyabi or Yanagi doing their frosty-electro thing, they’re back for re-runs.
Anyway, didn’t mean to ramble, but if you’re in the Zenless Zone Zero vibe, you might want to check out the latest July codes. Could be your lucky day—or not. Who knows?
