Alright, so here’s the thing. I stumbled onto this piece about some new tech gadgetry—I mean, graphics cards or something? Yeah, that’s right, graphics cards from ASRock. Never thought I’d be writing about it, but here we are. Anyway, they’re teasing this flashy “Taichi White” model of the Radeon RX 9070 XT, and I can’t stop thinking, why do they make tech sound like it belongs on a fashion runway? Oh, and they’ve got a bunch of 9060 XT models too.
So this “Taichi White” version is supposed to be the bees knees. Like, we’re talking 3.1 GHz speed kind of high-end. Couldn’t tell if that’s fast, but it sure sounds impressive. And they’ve already got this thing in some ‘Steel Legend’ style, but apparently, this new one is the cooler sibling with the famous Taichi cooling system. Picture spinning fans — maybe literally.
I guess if you’re into that sort of thing, this ASRock Radeon RX 9070 XT Taichi White OC (try saying that five times fast) is the thing to wait for. It’s got RDNA 4-based Navi 48 GPU. Yeah, mouths full of techno-speak that might as well be magic spells to me. But it sounds… potent? With a boost clock up to 3.1 GHz, I’m not sure if you’re launching a rocket or a game.
They’ve gone all out with a triple fan, triple-slot design—because double just ain’t enough, right? These fans are 100mm each, whatever that means in layman terms, and they’ve got this snazzy “Striped Ring” design. Do you think they could cool my coffee, too? Probably not, but a girl can dream.
And there’s lights! LED zones, if you want it to look like a rave inside your PC. Polychrome Sync let’s you play DJ with those, I guess. Oh, and, wait for it… an LCD info window! Like what, can you watch TV on it?! First for the Taichi series, so I guess it’s a big deal. Dual BIOS too, whatever that entails.
There’s also this Radeon AI PRO R9700 Creator thing they showed off, with 32GB. Now, that’s more storage than I know what to do with. It goes up to 2920 MHz, which is less than the other one but still sounds cool. Features a blower fan (cue mental image of a fan blowing everything away inside a PC), metal shroud, and a vapor chamber heatsink. So much metal I can’t help but picture a tiny rock concert.
Last bit, ASRock’s pulling out more cards. Enter the RX 9060 XT crew, starring “Steel Legend OC” with three fans, and the “Challenger OC” with two little fans. A single 8-pin connector connects these clocked-up wonders, hitting up to 3290 MHz. In terms of dollars, they’re trying to hover near $299/$349 — just in time to make you wonder if eating is less important than gaming. Maybe.
And that’s it. I think. Graphics cards galore, and my brain’s just barely keeping up. Is it rad? Seems like, especially if you’re tech-inclined and not just winging it like me. Now, do I get brownie points if I say they’re practically supercomputers? Because it feels like they are. Or maybe not. Who knows.
