Hey, so get this — Dysmantle, that survival game where you’re basically just trying to stay alive while everything around you goes to pieces, has somehow managed to move over two million copies. Crazy, right? I mean, imagine that many people getting their apocalypse on.
Anyway, this nugget comes straight from 10tons, the brains behind the operation. Apparently, this milestone has been brewing for something like 40 months. Yeah, all this started back in November 2021 when the game officially dropped in its full glory. But, plot twist – it was actually in Early Access for a whole year before that. Classic move. You can get it pretty much anywhere these days: PC, PS, Xbox, whatever else is out there… even your phone. Not going to lie, I might’ve lost track after a while.
Now, hold up, what they didn’t spill is how those sales break down across all these platforms. Feels like they’re keeping some cards close to their chest. Maybe it’s not even important; I dunno. Anyway — wait, was I saying something?
Oh, yeah! They’re throwing a little celebration for this big win with a fresh physical edition of Dysmantle for PS5 and the Switch. If I had a dollar for every time I contemplated buying a physical game in this digital age, I’d probably have enough for a cup of coffee. But, I digress.
And here’s a twist: Sampo Töyssy — like, the co-founder or something — popped in to say thanks to all the fans. Picture this: “We can’t thank you enough,” yadda yadda, what a guy. They’re putting this shiny new edition out on June 27th, but — and here’s the kicker — it’s not coming to the US just yet. Yup, something went sideways, and now they’re like, “We’ll see about that later.” So, fingers crossed for anyone Stateside wanting their slice of survival pie.
Okay, I’m not sure why I found this interesting, but there you go. If you’re a fan, congrats! If not, this might be your moment.
