So, something exciting is happening this week. If you’ve ever looked at your Xbox Home screen and thought, “Wow, there’s a lot going on here…,” well, you’re not alone! Turns out, Xbox is rolling out some cool new customization options. And I’ve got a front-row seat to tell you all about it.
What’s New? 🤔
Okay, so straight up, the recently played games and apps list is getting a bit of a facelift. Xbox is throwing in three new settings. I know, three doesn’t sound like a lot, but trust me, these are game changers:

Hide System Apps: Ever look at your list and think, “Why are there so many apps I never use?” Now, you can shove those system apps out of sight. Finally, a cleaner space where you can focus on the fun stuff — your games and entertainment. Ahh, feels like a tidy room already.

Pin Favorites to Home: You know those games you play over and over? The ones that are like greasy spoons on a cold day — comforting. Now, you can pin three of those faves right at the top. They’ll hang out there, ready whenever you are, even as you explore other new apps.
- Reduce Tile Count (Coming Soon!): They’ve got this minimalist thing going on. Soon, you can trim down the number of visible tiles. It’s all about streamlining your view so only the juicy bits are left. Yeah, they’re still perfecting this one, but patience, young grasshopper.
These goodies are coming first to Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha cronies. Super curious to see what everyone thinks. Seriously, your two cents are like gold. Hit them up with feedback and watch these settings grow into something even better.
Why It Matters 🧐
Everyone’s been yelling — okay, maybe not yelling, but definitely stating strongly — that Home should be a bit more personal. Sort of like how you might carefully curate your coffee table books. This update? It’s Xbox listening to all that loud and clear.
