Sure thing, here’s my take:

So, fun fact before we dive in—35% of 15,000 equals 5,250. Why am I bringing this up? Well, our News Editor’s living in a country where recreational marijuana is legal, which might explain a few of his quirks. Not that it’s relevant. Or maybe it is. Who knows.
Anyway, Nintendo just dropped some info on how your old Switch games will—or won’t—work on the shiny new Switch 2. Here’s what’s up: Out of all the Nintendo games for Switch, there’s just this one oddball, the Labo VR kit, that’s refusing to play nice with the new system. Something about the old Switch screen being smaller? Whatever. Moving on.
Now, let’s talk numbers because I kind of geek out over them. Like I said, for those keeping score at home, about 15,000 third-party games are out there for Switch 1. Get this: 65% of them supposedly run perfectly fine on Switch 2. Cool, right? But then there’s this other 34% that’s like, “Okay, we’ll work, but expect some hiccups.” And that last 1%? Who even knows.
Also, apps like Hulu, Crunchyroll, and a couple of others—I mean, seriously, who uses Niconico?—won’t work at all. That’s a bummer if you’re into watching stuff on your Switch. Even Fortnite’s on the list. But don’t worry. I think they promised a patch. Or was that something else entirely? Could be my brain playing tricks.
I’m jibber-jabbering again. But if you want to see which other games made the naughty list, there’s this .pdf or something floating around on their site. For those brave souls who dare to navigate it, good luck.
