Word on the street from the well-known leaker, eXtas1s, is that a Gears of War collection is indeed in the pipeline. Although the details on when it will be officially announced are still a bit hazy, eXtas1s suggests that it will be available across multiple platforms right from the start. Excitingly, it looks like the game will feature cross-play, so players can join forces or compete against each other, whether they’re on PC, Xbox, or PlayStation.

eXtas1s shared some insights, saying, “I can talk about Gears Collection because [the] Gears Collection has cost me a lot to corroborate its existence, but it seems that it exists, and I can confirm that at the moment in which Gears Collection is announced, which I don’t know when it will be, but it will be announced as multiplatform day one,” as translated by ResetEra member Rychu. He emphasized that once these remasters are announced, the older Gears games will allow for cross-platform multiplayer.
