Oh man, Supervive 1.0 is like the MOBA I’ve been unknowingly craving. Seriously, it feels like it’s been a million years since I got this pumped about a game in this genre. I mean, last time I felt this way was probably when I was wreaking havoc with Ragnaros in Heroes of the Storm. Yeah, those were the days. But guess what—I can dive into Supervive right now! Apparently, it’s not just a “coming soon” thing. Surprise, right?
So, what’s the deal with this 1.0 version? It’s a whole new animal compared to the beta we saw earlier. Theorycraft’s head honcho, Joe Tung—you gotta love how confident he sounds—mentions it as a complete overhaul. Like, “top-to-bottom” kind of stuff. It’s shiny, it’s new… it’s EVERYTHING.
Now, there’s been this nagging issue with these games—keeping folks interested for the long haul. Supervive’s a blast, no doubt about it. Fast, furious, and a breath of fresh air. But, yeah, I did sort of drift away after a bit. Tung talks about adding depth and variety to keep players hooked. Makes sense. Hook us, Theorycraft!
One juicy new thing in 1.0? The Armory. Here’s how it goes: you earn a resource called Prisma by doing the usual—killing enemies, taking objectives, you know the drill—and use it in the Armory to grab upgrades throughout the season. No pay-to-win shenanigans here, fortunately. Still, grinding isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. What if casual players get left behind? A tricky tightrope to walk, really.
But hey, if they nail the time investment just right, it could be a hit. Fingers crossed. Tung’s got a whole breakdown if you’re curious.
They first said Supervive would drop tomorrow, July 24. But surprise! Servers are up early. So, what are you waiting for? Dive in on Steam, maybe even check out my tier list when I get around to updating it. It’ll help, promise.
And if Supervive isn’t your scene? No worries, there are tons of battle royales and new PC games to explore. We’re all spoiled for choice these days.
